Real World Digital Photography 2nd Edition, Katrin Eismann, Sean Duggan, Tim Grey; Peachpit Press
• Recommended for those just starting out and trying to learn Digital Photography...
• While it is dated (2003) it should still help folks transition from film (or no knowledge) to digital quite well
• Rather than the $54 price, you can probably pick it up for much less used, either from amazon.com or abebooks.com ( a great resource for used books!) Recommended by Shawn Miner.
The Digital Photography Book, Scott Kelby; Peachpit Press; Aug 23, 2006
The Digital Photography Book, Volume 2, Scott Kelby; Peachpit Press; Dec 27, 2007
The Digital Photography Book, Volume 3, Scott Kelby; shipping June 18, 2009
The first two books are written as if you are out shooting with the author and you ask him how to take a picture of a flower, or how to use your external flash etc.. and he tells you how to do it without all the tech stuff. They are just short little two page chapters so you do not need to read it from start to finnish, but what you want to know as you need it. The books are made to fit in your camera bag. Books are available at The Book Loft, Amazon, and PeachPit Press. Recommended by Jay Young.
